Discovering the island of Lido, known as the “golden island”, with pleasant and opposing encounters: the palace of the international film festival, Hotel Excelsior, the elegant streets in Art Nouveau style and Malamocco in Venetian style. A short crossing and change of scenery: ancient colorful fishing villages, where the traditions are sniffed and tasted in the typical sea cuisine of Pellestrina.

What we will do

Departure by shuttle from the Villa and arrival at the Venice Expo, located at the beginning of the bridge of Venice, which we travel to Isola Nova del Tronchetto. With the ferry-boat we reach the Lido of Venice, which we travel from one side to the other, to appreciate the sea and the lagoon. Malamocco, where it seems to be in Venice by bike, a ride along the lagoon and you get to a second ferry-boat that takes us to the island of Pellestrina. We follow the cycle path that leads us through characteristic fishing villages with their boats. At PelleStrina we stop for lunch and after the rest we continue towards the naturalistic area of ​​Caroman with the characteristic dam. Short crossing towards Chioggia and where we find the shuttle waiting for us for the return.

Difficulty

Excursion not difficult of about 30K with many interesting stops and some boat crossings, on cycle paths and low traffic roads

Schedule

Departure at 8.30am with bike shuttle and 9.00am with the bike from Venice Expo. Boarding ferry-boat and crossing the Lido of Venice (10.45am), we will cross the island until the new ferry-boat embarkation and landing at the island of Pellestrina.Pedaling up to get to the restaurant at 1.00pm and dine lunch and a little to relax in the lagoon.

We leave around 3.00pm to discover the dam and the naturalistic oasis of Caroman. At 16.30 a boat awaits us to reach Chioggia, which we visit and cross to reach the shuttle for the return to the villa.

The tour is available from Monday to Saturday (except Wednesday).
